Hello party people,

We did it!!

Alright, alright, let’s let pictures do the talking.

1. Planted between 1000-1500 Trees along the river Nyamwamba

(left)Dr. Bob organized for around 30 Makerere undergrad Geology students to help with the tree planting and research.

(right) Jacob made carrying the bamboo look easy. Don’t let it fool you. They were heavy!

2. Visited three primary schools: Kyambogho, Kyanjuki, and Masule. Planted trees with schoolchildren

(right)These are the kids from Kyambogho primary school. Domagoj showed them how to plant bamboo, grivellia, and mango trees.

3. Interviewed 10 farmers from previous RTS tree planting projects

4. Organized two community sensitization meetings

1. On our first day in Kilembe, Dr. Sarah Ivory (pink shirt) and Brian from RTS organized a meeting with the community leaders and teachers (left).
2. The second community meeting was bigger, and longer. We introduced more of our team…
3. And chatted with UWA (Uganda Wildlife Authority) after. They were big fans of skiing!
