Packing insanity - NL #3

Hey everyone -
we're leaving! So exciting.
Uli, Brody, Sarah - thanks so much for reaching out with your tips to leave extra gear!
As we were packing this week, we tried to add extra items to leave behind (like an old jacket, shoes, shirts, etc).
On that note, why don't we share all the special 'missions' we're doing for the community?
Sarah Ivory & Caleb Norville: Photographing specific plants/animals to help them get a more holistic ecological understanding of the Rwenzoris (List here)
Nicole Dreon: Get women porters on the trip!
Brody Leven: Get the backstory and pictures on the old ladders hanging eerily where the glacier used to be
Uli: donating gear for the guides/porters
...There's one more!
Big news, professional ski racer Klemen Kosi (World Cups & Olympian) reached out to us, offering to be a brand ambassador for Ski Club Uganda, spreading our message to his network and online following.
He also had a wonderful idea:
- Ski for Uganda, representing our Ski Clug Uganda at the 2026 Winter Olympics!!!
Woah. Let's do this.
As it's unclear whether this is possible yet, we'll try to speak with the Uganda Olympic Committee while we're in Kampala.
But how exciting! We're happy to have you, Klemen.
While we're gone, Morgan will be working on the infrastructure of Ski Club Uganda. Working on our 501c3 application, and organizing our information/ ongoing conversations to share with new members. Why? Lately we've gotten lots of interest, people reaching out to support / join the cause.
Kinda awesome :)
Thanks for sticking with us - preparation has kicked into overdrive and we're excited to start.
